"Oh, my gosh. We had five people and we had such an amazing and wonderful time. This place is just lovely and the people who run it are even more wonderful. The grounds are stunning, the setting is idyllic and the food is phenomenal. Sandy should be as busy as a beaver in this amazing place. It is one of my favorite B&B's so far. I plan to bring my husband back with me, just to relax and enjoy the place. :0) Thank you, Chris and Sandy for an amazing weekend. We did not want to leave, any of us. :0)"
"Our stay was fantastic! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The property is beautiful, and fun to explore. We look forward to coming again, and spending more time."
"I rated every topic about Terrapin Village B&B as Five Stars. ***** Our family of 5 guests stayed in the 3 bedrooms with 3 baths and enjoyed time in the private common area. The guest space has just recently been renovated and redecorated and is lovely! Breakfast was awesome! Great spinach quiche one morning and a Mexican style breakfast taco with fresh fruit the next. The owners, Sandy and Chris were so gracious to us! We decided to picnic in their woods by a stream and they set up tablecloths and seat cushions for our lunch. The house is in a very rural location but with good roads to Dayton, Miamisburg, Kettering, etc. This B&B is located very close to the Ohio to Erie canal bike trail and would be a great stop over for someone travelling by bike. Loved it! Will go back again. Thanks so very much."
"While discussing hotel options with my family for an upcoming wedding, I urged them to consider a rental home instead, not only to save money (think of the price of 3 mediocre hotel rooms) but for an overall better experience. I found Terrapin Village on airbnb and convinced them it was perfect for our needs, and they finally conceded. I have stayed at many vacation rental homes over the past 10 years, and Sandy's Terrapin Village B&B is definitely one of my all-time favorites! My family (2 adult siblings, my mother, and my 4 year old son) made the 5+ hour drive for a wedding we attended that evening (2 miles away at the Rolling Meadows Ranch, super close and easy drive). After the long drive there we were all exhausted but perked up instantly upon arrival. The property is absolutely breathtaking with many unique things to see and explore, and the lodgings were immaculate. From the insanely comfortable beds to the beautiful decor, the rooms exceeded expectations. Sandy has gone above and beyond the duties of a typical host in order to make each guest feel comfortable while staying at her B&B. As a somewhat private person, and someone who has never stayed at an actual B&B, I wondered if it would be uncomfortable having a "stranger" on the property. There was no need to worry I quickly found out, as her warm greeting and easy going nature made us instantly feel as though we'd known Sandy a long time. The rooms we rented (all three suites) were connected to the main house but with it's own entrance and private location it was easy to forget that there was anyone else around. Upon arrival Sandy informed us that if we would like breakfast in the morning she would be happy to prepare it, and after accepting she told us that the door to the main house would be unlocked at 9a.m. for us. At 9 sharp we checked and sure enough it was. We were all in awe of the beautiful home as we were ushered into a formal dining room, where fresh pastries and fruit were laid out for us. Sandy then served us a delicious meal of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. It was -again- beyond our expectations. All of these things combined to make our one night stay a very wonderful and memorable experience. I'm quite sure that my family will be more likely to take my lodging advice in the future."
